Peskov says union between Russia, Belarus discussed
MOSCOW, Jul 9 (PRIME) -- Implementation of a treaty on creation of a Union State of Russia and Belarus is still on the agenda, includes all stages of integration, and is discussed at different levels, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
“There is a certain order of actions, there is a certain set of road maps that has been under development for a long time,” Pesklov said.
“Besides that, the union treaty includes a specific order of stages of integration actions. These topics are really on the agenda, they have been on the agenda, and they are discussed at different levels.”
Previously, Chief Editor of Ekho Moskvy radio station Alexei Venediktov said that he had proof of discussions between Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko about unification 18 months ago in Shanghai.
